He has undertaken detailed case research and drafted documents, including skeleton arguments, defence statements and hearsay applications. Rhodri has attended conferences with both professional and lay clients and out-of-court negotiations with opposing counsel.
During pupillage Rhodri has gained experience of appellate advocacy in the Court of Appeal and is currently assisting with an application to appeal to the Supreme Court.
During pupillage, Rhodri has assisted with various civil matters and as well as undertaking detailed case research, he has drafted documents including skeleton arguments, pre-action letters and particulars of claim. He has also attended a multi-track contested probate matter in the High Court.
Prior to joining Invictus Chambers, Rhodri developed a broad freelance County Court advocacy practice, specialising in civil litigation. His experience included contractual disputes; debt enforcement proceedings (particularly Charging Orders); interim applications, including summary judgment and set-aside applications; small claims trials; consumer contracts (Sale of Goods, Supply of Goods and Services); mortgage and residential possession matters; and personal injury, including infant settlement approval hearings.
