Robert Parkin (2009)
Robert has a very broad practice across both the County Court and High Court and at all levels of the Tribunal. He provides specialist immigration advice at all levels and a range of general civil work.
He was called to the Bar in 2009 and before joining chambers has worked as a county court solicitor’s agent, an OISC level 3 regulated immigration consultant, and a solicitor advocate acquiring Civil Higher rights of audience.
Immigration, Asylum & Nationality
Robert undertakes a very broad range of immigration work, up to and including Court of Appeal level. He deals with both appeals and initial applications. He particularly specialises in:
Business migration including claims under the PBS and the Ankara Agreement;
Family claims including private-client immigration planning;
Work under the EEA Regulations;
Asylum and Human Rights claims including statelessness.
Robert deals with a broad range of contentious and non-contentious civil work including:
Personal injury, including advice on quantum, interlocutory hearings, and trial;
Public and private housing claims, including actions for disrepair;
General litigation, debt recovery and enforcement;
Corporate and personal insolvency;
Wills & probate;
The law relating to embassies and ambassadorial property;
General construction and drafting of legal documents.
Robert deals with a range of regulatory work including:
Confiscation or forfeiture of cash under POCA;
Civil penalties under the Immigration Acts;
HMO and selective licencing prosecutions;
Licencing of sponsors under the PBS.
